On Sunday, December 27, 2020, the Consolidated Appropriations Act, 2021 (CAA 2021) was signed into law. A $900 billion emergency relief package is included as part of this omnibus spending bill. It is intended to assist individuals and businesses during the ongoing coronavirus pandemic and accompanying economic crisis. Major relief provisions are summarized here, as well as some additional tax provisions.

Melanie Brueggemann | Investment Coordinator
Meet Melanie Brueggemann. She is our Investment Coordinator, resident team mom and whipper snapper. She really leads the charge in ensuring our clients successfully open their investment accounts and fulfills all their requests to existing accounts.
This is a second career for Melanie. She was a Country Distribution Center Controller for an international known retailer before joining us. Her experience has really added tremendous value to the growth of our firm and the service to our clients.
Melanie was actually born and raised in Germany before coming to the states in 2003. She was born to a native German mother and an African American father, from Atlanta, GA. They met while he was stationed in Berlin. We recently learned that her grandfather was a Holocaust survivor. So much history!
Melanie now resides in Hoboken, NJ with her husband whom she met in Germany and her son Keanu. We are proud to have such a dedicated and caring team member such as Melanie and love how diverse our team is.

Both housing and economic cycles used to last five to seven years, but the economy has shifted to longer cycles, due to factors such as technology and monetary policy. The housing market has followed suit and the result is what I have defined as the Brave New Housing Cycle, which is poised to last seven to 10 years.
The path of the virus is unknown, and the economic healing process is likely to be staggered. This kind of uncertainty can cause anxiety around your investments, but we find comfort in areas where we have more visibility. In our view, monetary policy, the fundamental driver of the business cycle, will remain supportive for the foreseeable future.
